Hospital Containers and Supply Spawns
The hospital stands as one of four primary loot destinations designated by the developer, alongside residential houses, commercial shops, and the army camp. While standard houses rely heavily on toolboxes and residential dressers, the hospital interior features crash carts and medical supply boxes spread across examination rooms and corridors.
Approaching medical containers requires deliberate interaction. Players press E to open individual crash carts or containers, while pressing R executes a TAKE ALL command to rapidly empty medical supplies into open storage. A default backpack holds 20 inventory slots, which can be expanded to 30 slots through the Big Backpack gamepass. Because hospital rooms concentrate medical items into tight interior spaces, inventory capacity fills much faster than during domestic house searches.
Medical Loot Types and Shop Value
Supplies recovered from the hospital serve two primary functions: active field recovery and economic liquidation at base. Stashing medical items allows survivors to treat damage sustained from hostile encounters or convert surplus supplies into trade currency. At HUSH SUPPLY, players transfer items into base storage using the STORE ALL command before converting items via the SELL tab.
| Item Category | Hospital Items | Stash Credit Value |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Medical | Medkit | 60 credits |
| Field Dressing | Bandage | 15 credits |
| Crafting Salvage | Chemicals | 14 credits |
| Basic Salvage | Cloth Rags | 2 credits |
| Rare Document | Bunker Codes | 150 credits |
Medkits yield 60 credits each, representing four times the individual return of a 15-credit Bandage. Hospital containers also yield non-medical junk that supports trade balances, including Chemicals at 14 credits and Cloth Rags at 2 credits. Loose ammunition containers or rare office items such as Bunker Codes can occasionally appear on hospital shelving, offering 150 credits per item when brought back to the vendor. Securing multiple Medkits alongside high-value documents establishes the hospital as a core route for target best loot runs.
Sound Control and Exit Routes
Harvesting hospital corridors carries substantial acoustic risk due to enclosed interior acoustics. Monsters track prey through acoustic output, making constant surveillance of the decibel meter mandatory. Moving indoors while maintaining a crouch registers around 33 dB on the meter, compared to 52 dB during standing walks and 81 dB when operating motorized vehicles.
Getting caught by hunting creatures wipes all inventory carried during that session, including primary weapons in slots 1 and 2. Only the single stack stored inside the safe pocket survives a fatal catch, alongside gear already secured inside the base stash.
Safe extraction requires planning a transit line toward a green WAY OUT point before entering the hospital building. Exits such as North Gate and The Farm Track require activating an extraction post, which initiates an illuminated countdown sequence lasting around 72 seconds. Players must board the arriving vehicle and complete the extraction prompt at the cargo terminal before the rear doors close to lock in the hospital haul.
